Adopt a Nest or Eagle
You can adopt a nest or one of our captive eagles. Your tax-deductible contribution to the Institute for Wildlife Studies will help support our research and care for the captive birds and their facilities. Choose to make a secure contribution on-line using PayPal (you do not need to have a PayPal account) or use a convenient mail-in form (PDF or Word).


 

 
 

Adopt a Nest (Level I)
$1000 Contribution ($900 tax-deductible)
   

 

Your nest adoption will help cover the costs of monitoring the nest, incubating the eggs and fostering the chick(s) into the nest. Groups can raise funds to adopt a nest and split the benefits among their members.

What are the benefits of adopting?
- A personalized adoption certificate
- A photo of the chick(s) in the nest at the time of banding (8 weeks old)
- "Eagles of Catalina" DVD/VHS
- A personal 5-6 hour Catalina Island tour for 3-4 people with an IWS biologist
- Acknowledgment of your adoption on the Institute for Wildlife Studies website
- Some nests have live cameras and you can watch your adopted chick(s) grow via the internet
- Gift adoptions include an adoption card announcing your gift.
