Research/ Career Interests
I am a wildlife biologist with the San Clemente Loggerhead Shrike Monitoring and Release Program. I am excited to be working with these endangered birds and to contribute to their recovery.
I began field work as a seasonal technician during my undergraduate summers. Since then, I have worked with Piping Plovers and Florida Grasshopper Sparrows and have served as a raptor migration counter. I have also monitored breeding Trumpeter Swans, Common Loons, Least Terns, and Burrowing Owls.
Having spent most of my childhood outdoors, I have always been drawn to wildlife and conservation. I am grateful to be building a career around a lifelong passion. My professional interests focus on the applied conservation of threatened and endangered birds through adaptive management. In my free time, I enjoy swimming, skiing, rowing, mountain biking, hiking, fishing, birding, and other outdoor activities.
