What is the Nest Adoption Challenge?

The Nest Adoption Challenge (NAC) is an annual fundraiser to support our Bald Eagle Restoration Project.

2026 NAC Dates: March 4th to June 2nd

How to participate in the NAC:

  • Adopt a nest. Donations of $1,500 can be made to adopt and name a wild eaglet. Limited availability. Check nest availability HERE .

  • Sponsor a territory. Donations starting at $50 can be made in support of a favorite eagle territory or pair.

  • Have your questions answered in a live Q&A with our eagle biologist. Join the conversation on Disqus and Instagram! Q&A’s are announced ahead of time on IWS social media platforms.

  • Donate to enter drawings for unique prizes. Donations made during scheduled periods can enter you in drawings to win IWS merch, a ride-along with our eagle biologist on Catalina Island, and more.

  • Participate in challenges. Guess the timing of egg hatching or identify prey items delivered to the nests! Watch for challenge announcements on IWS social media platforms.

Follow IWS on social media for updates on breeding activity, drawings, Q&A’s, and more!
