What is the Nest Adoption Challenge?

The Nest Adoption Challenge is the annual fundraiser to raise money to support IWS' bald eagle and peregrine falcon programs, including surveying for and monitoring nesting pairs, banding chicks, and maintaining and upgrading the live nest cams. We do not anticipate banding chicks at the nest in 2023, so we will not be able to track named chicks as we have in previous years. Each week during the challenge we will randomly draw names from among all donors for an the opportunity to name an eagle or choose from a list of additional items. During the Nest Adoption Challenge, we automatically apply any contribution to the IWS Bald Eagle Project (nest adoptions, memberships, donations) towards the Challenge total. There is no minimum contribution to be entered in the drawings. To join the Nest Adoption Challenge, you can click on one of the buttons above to make a contribution.

The list of available nests will be updated as chicks hatch.
